Letter to the Editor: Referendum Supporter Makes Last Plea

Referendum supporter Seth Broder encourages Moorestown residents to vote "yes."

To the editor:

Dear Neighbors:

The outpouring of support we have received from residents while promoting passage of Questions #1 and #2 on Nov. 8 has been tremendous. We are confident that the referendums will pass and, when they do, will revitalize Moorestown Mall while reducing property taxes and creating local jobs for Moorestown residents.

We would also like to thank the residents who, while they may not support our position, have complimented us on the positive, substantive and fact-based outreach effort we’ve conducted. We appreciate you allowing us to make our best case to “Vote YES on BOTH” in the course of the last couple months.

Sadly, a small group of people opposing passage of the questions have taken a different route. They filed frivolous lawsuits (that were repeatedly dismissed by the courts), violated campaign finance laws, spread false rumors about our plans and, worst of all, engaged in personal attacks against anyone who has volunteered their time as part of our grassroots citizen’s group.

It’s a shame they have chosen this direction. Moorestown deserves better.

In closing, I respectfully urge you to join us and thousands of other Moorestown residents, and Vote “YES on BOTH” Questions #1 and #2 this coming Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls are open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Thank you.
