The parade begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at PNC Bank on Main Street.

Downtown Moorestown will be overrun this weekend by vampires, witches, fairies, ninjas, zombies and superheroes.

Don’t be alarmed. It’s just the annual Halloween Parade, sponsored by the Moorestown Business Association (MBA).

Now in its seventh year, the parade begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at and makes it way down Main Street to , where the MBA will have a stage area set up with a DJ, as well as a moon bounce, balloon artist, facepainter and other kids’ activities.

The last few years the parade ended with a bonfire at Stokes Hill, but due to a resident complaint about the smoke they’ve had to cancel it, said Brian Cooper, MBA vice president and chair of the parade committee.

Cooper said about 400 children (and a few adults) are expected to turn out for the parade. Costume prizes will be given out in seven different categories and different age groups, including “scariest” and “cutest.”

The parade meets at PNC starting around 2:30 p.m. Sunday and commences at 3 p.m. Cooper said the event will wrap up around sundown.
