Moorestown Mall Hosting Backpack Drive For Those In Need

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Mall and the Center for Family Services are hosting a backpack drive for those in need ahead of the upcoming academic year.

The Camden-based Center for Family Services has worked with neighborhood residents, schools, government leaders, corporate partners, and social service providers across the community to improve life in the community for more than 100 years, according to its website.

“We are honored to work with Center for Family Services to ensure students in our community have the supplies they need for the academic year,” Moorestown Mall General Manager Maria Butkovic said. “Providing the proper resources will allow students to start off the school year on the right foot.”

Donations can be dropped off in the mall management office located at the mall entrance between Rizzeri salon & spa and Boscov’s. Suggested supplies for the drive include:

• Backpacks
• Lunchboxes
• Pens and pencils
• Highlighters
• Colored pencils, crayons and markers
• Glue sticks
• Folders
• Notebooks
• Loose leaf paper

The mall is also offering rewards for general shopping at the mall. From now through Sept. 6, for every $200 spent at Moorestown Mall and across the PREIT portfolio, customers will receive a $25 gift card of their choice from a list of more than 30 merchants including AMC, Macy’s, Regal, Sephora, Yard House, Bath & Body Works and more.

To participate, customers must upload pictures of their receipts at spendandscore.com by Sept. 30. Receipts from multiple transactions during the promotion dates will be accepted.

In addition to the Moorestown Mall, PREIT owns the Cherry Hill Mall, the Cumberland Mall, and is a partial owner of the Gloucester Premium Outlets.
