A burglar walks into a West Main Street home and steals a diamond ring and police investigate more burglaries and attempted burglaries.

Dec. 10

Theft, 10:56 a.m. — A woman reported to police while she was at a store on the 1500 block of Nixon Drive someone reached into her purse and stole her credit card, which was later used to buy gas.

Theft, 3:36 p.m. — Police said a woman had her wallet stolen from her purse while she was at a store on the 400 block of Route 38. Various credit cards were taken and used to purchase electronics.

Attempted burglary, 6 p.m. — Someone broke a rear French door to a home on the 300 block of Laurel Creek Boulevard, police said. The residents were not at home and entry was not gained. Anyone in the area at the time who may have seen anything is urged to contact police at 856-914-3092.

Dec. 12

Burglary, 8:17 a.m. — A burglar forced their way into a business on the 200 block of Young Avenue sometime between Dec. 9 and 12 and stole cash from a cash box, police said. Entry was gained by forcing open a rear door.

Burglary, 1:12 p.m. — Several items were stolen out of a commercial truck parked on the 900 block of North Lenola Road on Dec. 10, police said.

Dec. 14

Burglary, 8:36 p.m. — A burglar entered a home on the 200 block of West Main Street through an unlocked rear door and stole a diamond ring and a jug filled with $100 in change sometime during the day on Dec. 14, according to police.

Dec. 15

Attempted burglary, 12:44 p.m. — Someone pried open a rear window to a business on the 200 block of Route 38, police said. They did not get into the business.
