Pemberton Residential Fire Under Investigation: Police
A fire that took place inside a single-story home in Pemberton last week is under investigation by local authorities, fire officials said.
PEMBERTON, NJ - A fire that took place inside a single-story home in Pemberton last week is under investigation by local authorities, fire officials said.
The Pemberton Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Ginsburg Lane for the dwelling fire on Jan. 18, the Pemberton Township Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement.
“Upon entry, the floor was found to be weakened due to the fire burning a hole through the 1st floor from the basement,” fire officials said. “Crews then split to find the exterior access to the basement and proceeded fire attack while the crews on the first floor got to a safe distance and hit what fire was showing from the first floor.”

No injuries were reported and the home was vacant during the time of the fire, officials said.
The fire is under investigation by the local fire marshal's office.

“We’d like to thank all surrounding departments that came and assisted us and our residents in their time of need,” the department said.
