Police Arrest Two Men Wanted for Armed Robbery

Sept. 5

Criminal mischief (Rancocas Woods), 12:01-9 a.m. — Someone keyed a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Larch Road, causing $200 damage, police said.

Arrest (shoplifting), 12 p.m. — Police arrested Rosemary S. Phillips, 37, of the unit block of Pacific Avenue, Collingswood, for shoplifting $490 in baby formula from Wegmans on Centerton Road, according to a report. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Sept. 6

Theft, 9:30-10:30 a.m. — Someone stole a portfolio and miscellaneous documents, valued at more than $30, from a woman’s unattended purse while she was shopping at the ShopRite on Ark Road, police said.

Burglary (Ramblewood Farms) — A burglar forced open a second-floor window and stole approximately $1,600 worth of electronics, clothing and jewelry from a residence on the 500 block of Perry Drive, according to police. The property was later located by landscapers in a wooded area behind the residence and returned to the owner. Police said the incident occurred between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 4 and 2:15 p.m. Sept. 6.

Arrest (fugitives), 4:30 p.m. — Police arrested James Hill, 32, and Carlos Gonzales, 25, both of Salisbury, MD—both of whom are allegedly wanted for armed robbery in Maryland—at a hotel on Fellowship Road, according to a report. They were both bcharged with being fugitives from justice and placed in Burlington County Jail. Hill’s bail was set at $7,500 and Gonzales’ bail was set at $5,000.

Sept. 7

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 12:01 a.m. — Police arrested John Tourigny, 23, of the unit block of Quail Street, Stratford, CT, after he was observed smoking marijuana on a Greyhound bus at the bus terminal on Fellowship Road, according to a report. Tourigny was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Criminal mischief (The Lakes) — Someone slashed the tire of a vehicle parked on the 4900 block of Albridge Way sometime between 8 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7, police said. Damage is estimated at $200.

Arrest (drug possession), 2:32 p.m. — Police arrested Abed A. Safah, 36, of the unit block of Ethel Street, Metuchen, in the parking lot of 1300 Route 73 for possession of heroin and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to a report. Safah was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a weapon (gravity knife), police said. He was served with criminal complaints and placed in Burlington County Jail after failing to post $9,000 bail.

Sept. 8

Burglary, 7:29 a.m. — A burglar alarm was activated at township-owned property on the 100 block of Hooton Road after someone removed plywood covering from the basement stairs, causing $50 damage, police said. Nothing was reported missing.

Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested David G. Boustead, 55, of the 200 block of Charing Way, for allegedly shoplifting $10 in merchandise from the Wawa on Larchmont Boulevard, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (drug possession), 3:40 p.m. — Police arrested Timothy J. Prizzi, 26, of the unit block of Saddle Drive, after patrols responded to his home for a report of a subject under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, according to a report. Prizzi was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in Burlington County Jail after failing to post $20,000 bail.

Sept. 9

Theft Eagle Point) — Police said someone removed a mirror off a vehicle parked on the 600 block of Augusta Circle sometime between 8 a.m. Sept. 3 and 6 p.m. Sept. 9. The mirror is valued at $50.

Sept. 10

Criminal mischief — Someone cut the fuel fill pipe of a Seeton Turf-owned vehicle parked on the unit block of Roland Avenue, causing an estimated $1,800 damage, police said. The incident occurred between 5:30 a.m. Sept. 7 and 7:15 a.m. Sept. 10.

Sept. 11

Theft (Rancocas Woods) — Someone stole six metal landscaping rakes, valued at $240, from Spencer Park on Rancocas Boulevard after cutting the chains securing the rakes to the fence, police said. The theft occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and 9 a.m. Sept. 11.

Theft, 12-7 p.m. — A thief stole a wallet and its contents, valued at $260, from an office inside Atkinson Hunt on Atrium Way, according to police. There was no sign of force.

Sept. 12

Arrest (theft) — Police arrested John J. Richards, 36, of the unit block of Dawn Lane, Pleasant Valley, NY, after he was observed removing $200 worth of merchandise from a showroom display case while waiting for his vehicle to be serviced, according to a report. Richards was served with criminal complaints and sent to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Arrest (theft) — Police arrested Lakeya Williams, 21, of the unit block of Eighth Street, Burlington, after she allegedly made more than $1,800 worth of fraudulent returns while employed as a bookstore cashier between Aug. 27 and Sept. 10, according to a report. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Sept. 13

Theft (Ramblewood Apartments), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Police said someone stole $950 worth of power tools from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Country Club Parkway. There was no sign of forced entry.

Arrest (DWI), 12:29 p.m. — Police arrested Daniel H. Marcheski, 25, of the 900 block of Kingsman Road, Boothwyn, PA, after he was stopped on Century Parkway, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Shoplifting, 7:38 p.m. — Two flat hair irons, valued at $219, were stolen from the Ulta Salon on Nixon Drive, police said. Three women and a man were seen leaving the store with the merchandise in a black Toyota Solara.
