Police Investigate Rash of Vehicle Burglaries

Also, Maple Shade Police arrest a Cherry Hill woman who went into respiratory difficulty at a hotel for possession of crack.

Sept. 23

Theft from vehicle, 6:57 a.m. — Police said thieves shattered the passenger side window of a 2009 Toyota parked at the Village of Stoney Run and attempted to remove a $1,400 Pioneer navigation system/DVD player. An iPod Touch ($300), an iPod ($150), $5 in change, a pair of sunglasses ($30) and the owner’s manual were stolen.

Theft from vehicle, 9:01 a.m. — Police said a TV/Radio unit ($200 value), a TV/DVD ($300) and 50 DVDs ($100) were stolen from a 2001 Chevy Suburban parked on Sunflower Path.

Theft from vehicle, 10:32 a.m. — A burglar smashed the passenger side window of a 1999 blue Honda Civic parked at the Village of Stoney Run and ripped a navigation system out of the dashboard, police said. The window is valued at $350 and the navigation system at $800.

Sept. 24

Arrest (drug possession), 3:59 p.m. — Police arrested Laura Jane Stone, 36, of Cherry Hill, after responding to the Quality Inn for a woman in respiratory difficulty, according to a report. Stone was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment and issued a summons to appear in court for possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia (three burnt glass pipes).

Sept. 26

Theft, 8:06 p.m. — Someone stole a 3,500-watt unit generator, valued at $200, from a storage trailer at the corner of Rudderow Avenue and Buttonwood Avenue, police said.
