Police Arrest Serial Burglar at Fox Meadow Apartments

Also, Maple Shade Police investigate the theft of a vehicle and a theft from a vehicle

Aug. 16

Theft from vehicle, 10:32 a.m. — Police said someone stole a GPS unit, sunglasses and a power cord from a vehicle that was left unlocked on the 300 block of Bailey Avenue.

Aug. 21

Arrest (burglary) — Police arrested Ramon Santiago, 31, of Gardenia Drive, Maple Shade, for committing a series of burglaries at Fox Meadow Apartments over the summer, according to a report. Santiago was charged with two burglaries, two attempted burglaries and one count of receiving stolen property. He is suspected in a total of possibly 15 burglaries, with most occurring in July and August. He was sent to Burlington County Jail.

Criminal mischief, 7:13 a.m. — Police said the passenger side window of a 2003 Dodge Dakota parked on the 100 block of Thomas Avenue was smashed with a large rock.

Vehicle theft, 8:48 a.m. — A 1994 Honda Civic—black with a primered front end, NJ tag Y19CEW—was stolen from the unit block of Maplewood Drive, according to police. The driver may have left the door unlocked.
