Quinton Law Wins Moorestown Special Election: Official Results
Burlington County finalized its results for the 2021 elections, including for Moorestown Council and School Board, on Tuesday.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — With all vote-by-mail, provisional and write-in ballots in, Democrat Quinton Law has defeated Republican Vick Bobadilla in a special election for an open Moorestown Council seat, according to official results posted online by the Burlington County Board of Elections.
Law collected 4,634 votes to Bobadilla’s 4,149 votes to retain the seat he was appointed to earlier this year.
“It’s an exciting time to be a Moorestonian,” Law said. “I am honored to have earned the opportunity to keep serving as your councilman. This community is moving forward with a stronger economy, cleaner environment, and more inclusive neighborhoods. We’ve accomplished a lot in this past year, but there’s always room to grow. Let’s get back to work.”

“I am so proud of the way we have run this campaign and grateful to the thousands of voters who took the time to go to the polls or mail their ballots in and endorse Quinton’s vision of moving Moorestown forward,” Law Campaign Manager Harry Lewis said. “We ran a positive campaign focused on the issues, and I’m proud of the way we conducted ourselves over the course of the race. Quinton remains focused on the future of Moorestown and with him on council that future is bright.”
The campaign said it believes the victory shows Moorestown residents are “recognizing the positive steps council has taken over the past year to move forward.”

“The fact that Quinton’s support was bipartisan in a year marked by intense partisanship is an indicator that voters recognized that he was and continues working for all of us,” the campaign said in a statement. “The campaign also wishes to extend best wishes to Mr. Bobadilla and his team, and wishes them all the best in the future.”
Jill Fallows Macaluso, Melissa Arcaro Burns and Cheryl Makopoulos all won election to the Moorestown Public School District Board of Education.
They claimed the three seats, emerging from a field of six candidates. No incumbents chose to run for re-election to the board.
Macaluso collected 3,762 votes, followed by Burns with 3,372 and Makopoulos with 3,300. David Vosbikian had 3,200 votes, followed by Billie Danielle Thomas with 3,061, and Joseph Horwitz with 3,019.
In all, 157,488 ballots were cast in elections across Burlington County this year, according to officials. That constitutes 44.46 percent of the county’s 354,129 registered voters.
