Teen Killed, Father Injured In Shooting At NJ Walmart: Prosecutor

A 17-year-old was killed, and his father was injured in a shooting outside a South Jersey Walmart, according to police.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A teenager was killed, and his father was wounded in a shooting outside a Walmart in South Jersey Thursday night, according to authorities.

Albert Williams, 17 of Hammonton, and his father, 44-year-old Dione Williams Sr., were both taken by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden following a shooting outside the Walmart on Mount Holly Road in Burlington Township at about 10 p.m., according to authorities.

Albert Williams was pronounced dead, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Burlington Township Acting Public Safety Director James Sullivan. Dione Williams was treated and released. Police believe this was not a random shooting.

Police have focused their investigation on two cars that were parked near each other, according to NBC 10. One had its passenger window shot out and a bullet hole in the rear window.

The store was open at the time of the shooting, according to CBS 3. One person told the news station he was walking around when he heard shots ring out and saw everyone running.
