THC-Infused Animal Crackers Found On South Jersey Minor: Police

Police are warning parents of misleading snack packages that may actually contain THC, the main active ingredient of cannabis.

EVESHAM, NJ - A “highly concentrated” bag of THC-infused animal cracker edibles was confiscated from a juvenile in Evesham Township, prompting police to warn parents of misleading packaging.

The animal crackers, dubbed Animal Cookies in zoo-themed pink packaging, detailed a gram amount and marijuana leaf symbol, denoting the package contains a THC-infused product, police said.

THC is the main active ingredient of cannabis.

“We would like to take the opportunity to warn parents that packages may be misleading. Every marijuana-infused item will have a label on it, along with a gram amount,” police said. “If you see these two symbols on a snack bag, it could be marijuana-infused edibles.”

It was not immediately clear if the juvenile was aware that the product contained THC.
