Uptick In Illegal Parking Behind Moorestown High School

MOORESTOWN, NJ — There's been an uptick in illegal parking on the streets behind Moorestown High School, leading authorities to warn of penalties for violators.

Township officials advised residents to remind young drivers that many of the streets surrounding the high school have parking restrictions.

"Be advised: enforcement will take place as result of these illegally parked vehicles," the township announced Tuesday.

The school has a lot available for senior students who have registered for a space. But space is limited, and some of the residential streets near the school have faced issues with overflow parking.

Residents who live on the following streets can qualify for a parking pass:

• Signal Light Road
• Stonehouse Road
• Shelter Rock Place
• Split Rock Place
• Sheldon Place
• Sentinel Road
• Deer Rest Road
• Fellswood Drive
• Golf View Road
• Hayfield Court
• N Stanwick Drive
• Paul Drive
• Prospect Avenue
• Paddock Road
• Tyndale Road
• Westover Road
• Windsock Way

Parking in those locations without a permit can result in a ticket and fines.

Residents who live on the aforementioned roads can apply for and pick up a parking permit at the Moorestown Police Station (1245 N Church St., Suite 2) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays.

Permits are free but limited to two passes per household. Residents are asked to bring valid identification indicating that they live on a qualifying street.
