YMCA Hosting Halloween Party for Special Needs Kids

The Y in Mount Laurel and SNAP (Special Needs Advocacy Parties) are looking for teenage volunteers to assist with a special needs Halloween party later this month.

To the editor:

On behalf of the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties in Mount Laurel and SNAP (Special Needs Advocacy Parties), I would like to invite all children with special needs and their families to join us for a Halloween Party.

This event will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the YMCA on Centerton Road. There will be a DJ/dancing, face painting, crafts, a photo booth and treats to eat. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. It is free of charge to enjoy this fun-filled event. Parents/guardians are required to remain at the party.

If you would like to join us, or have any questions, please contact Kristen at ferrer95@verizon.net (preferred contact) or 609-714-1748. RSVPs are required.

Teen volunteers are also needed as buddies for the party. Volunteers need to arrive by 1 p.m. and are required to attend a half-hour class prior to the party. A letter documenting your volunteer hours will be provided by the YMCA. Please contact me for specifics. I hope to hear from you!
