Bickford Theatre Announces ‘All That Jazz’ Collab And More For Fall/Winter Lineup

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre has announced its fall/winter programs, including a special jazz collaboration set to take the stage.

On Oct. 11, Special EFX will kick off the concert season as part of the WBGO Radio Presents: All That Jazz collaboration. Special EFX, a “major force in the jazz and world music scene for more than 40 years,” is composed of guitarist, composer, producer, and arranger Chieli Minucci and includes seasoned jazz veterans Lao Tizer, David Livolsi, and Joel Rosenblatt.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets $63 for general admission and $58 for Morris Museum members. Tickets can be bought online here.

The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey will return to the Bickford Theater on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. The orchestra will celebrate the work of composers Giuseppe Verdi, Ludwig van Beethoven, and others, and feature special guests Theresa Carlomagno, Gary Pate, and Daniel Colalillo.

Tickets cost $43 for general admission and $38 for members.

Just in time for the holidays, the Water Gap Jazz Orchestra will return on Dec. 20 to perform Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite, as well as their own Grinch Suite. The 17-piece big band is composed of the “highest caliber professional musicians in the tri-state area” and is joined by vocalist Nancy Reed and Duke Ellington’s grandson, Edward Ellington II, as narrator.

There is a matinee at 3 p.m. and an evening performance at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $43 for general admission and $38 for members.
