Cadet Capt. Sahas Patil, of Landing, NJ, accepts Cadet Command of the Lone Eagle Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), NJ Wing

Cadet Capt. Sahas Patil, of Landing, NJ, accepts Cadet Command of the Lone Eagle Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), NJ Wing, from Capt. Jens P. Hinge, Acting Commander at a recent ceremony at the Morristown National Guard Armory. The previous Cadet Commander, C/Capt. Donovan Tung, of Summit NJ, was thanked for his service and will continue to provide support as required.
Cadet Capt. Sahas Patil, a sophomore at Roxbury High School, participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition as part of the school’s robotics team. He has also competed in CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers national STEM competitions. Currently, he is training his Squadron's CyberPatriot team in preparation for the upcoming competition beginning in October.
Also, within CAP, he has served as a Flight Commander and attended NJ Wing Basic Encampments as a basic cadet and as staff within the logistics support team. Further, he has participated in Memorial Day parades and ceremonies honoring our nation’s veterans and fallen heroes.

The Lone Eagle Composite Squadron meets on Wednesday nights, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Morristown National Guard Armory, NJ. Youth can start the cadet program at age twelve, and adults can join as senior members starting at age 18.
