Child Porn Charges Filed Against Morris Township Man: Prosecutor
Michael Rave, 53, was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, said the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 53-year-old Morris Township man has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
Michael Rave, of Morris Township, has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, four counts of promoting obscene material and four counts of criminal sexual contact, police said.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children first alerted the prosecutor's office about the allegations against Rave, referring to video files allegedly depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Rave is accused of having numerous videos of himself on the online chat website "Omegle," where he allegedly exposed himself to several 14-year-old victims, police said.
The victims in these cases have been identified by law enforcement, Carroll said.

After formally advising Rave of the charges against him, authorities released the man. A pre-indictment conference is set for June 28.
Agencies involved in the investigation included the Morris Township Police Department, Department of Homeland Security, Morris County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
