Deadline for Morris Plains Teen Center Registration is Wednesday

Registration for the Morris Plains Teen Center is today, July 31.
MPTC is sponsored by the Borough of Morris Plains. It is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders of Morris Plains residents. All participants in the MPTC must be registered.

Tickets start at $39 for the Happy Together Tour 2013. They stop at MPAC tonight at 8 p.m. They feature pop-rock from the 1960s and 1970s. Here’s a look at the lineup for this tour:

Bring the little ones over to the Children’s Theater at the Morris Museum today. Yates Musical Theatre will perform the Wizard of Oz at 11 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. It’s a “vibrant adaptation of the treasured classic in which a girl named Dorothy travels over the rainbow and follows the yellow-brick road,” according to the Morris Museum

- $9 Groups (20 or more)

At the Morristown-Morris Township Library, there’s several events lined up:
- There’s Craft Story Time for Grades K to 2 every Wednesday at 10 a.m. from July 10 – Aug. 7. Come hear a story or two and make a craft to take home. All supplies are provided and it’s sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
- Also every Wednesday from July 10 – Aug. 7 is the Family Album activity at 3 p.m. for Grades 3-6. Use your creative writing skills to create a family album that includes interviews, stories and memoirs. Registration is required and this is sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
- Dino Picnic is today at noon. It’s a picnic all things dinosaur. Bring a blanket and some lunch, and the library will bring the dinosaur stories and craft. Ages 2-6. Sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
- Create Your Own Superhero from 4-5 p.m. “Have an awesome idea for a superhero?? Here's your chance to get creative. Create a cape, mask, and secret identity,” said the library.
