MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police in Morris Township alerted drivers that downed power lines have closed a section of Madison Road (Route 124) on Friday.

A detour is in place at Canfield Road, and officials said to expect delays.

The downed wires are between the Parker Road/Shepard Place and Crescent Drive/Barberry Drive intersection, according to 511nj.org. The road is closed in both directions, and police did not say how long it will be closed.
