Final Election Results Certified In Morris Plains Mayoral Race
The Morris County clerk certified vote totals in local elections this week, including in the Morris Plains Mayoral race.
MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — The final vote totals in the Nov. 8 elections in Morris County, including in Morris Plains, were certified this week by Morris County. This did not change the projected election outcome.
Morris Plains voters headed to the polls on Nov. 8 to cast ballots on Election Day. Their choices this year included seats on the borough council along with the Mayoral seat, as one candidate ran to replace current Mayor Jason C. Karr.
With all districts reporting Councilwomen Nancy Verga and Joan Goddard have officially won their re-election bids. Here are the certified results, according to the Morris County Clerk's Office:

- Goddard: 1,545
- Verga: 1,632
- Meehan: 1,248
- Myers: 1,348
In the Mayoral race, candidate Arthur "Art" J. Bruhn Jr. was running against current Mayor Jason C. Karr, who is running for re-election this year. According to the Morris County Clerk's Office, Karr has secured his re-election ticket.

"Words cannot express how humbled I am to begin my second term in 2023. I look forward to the next four years as the Council and I work together to continue advancing the Borough into the future as we keep Morris Plains 'The Community of Caring'," Karr wrote on his Facebook page.
