'Kona With A Cop' Returns To Morris Plains This Month

The Morris Plains Police Department is once again hosting its popular "Kona with a Cop" community event on Aug. 16.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — If you have any questions for the Morris Plains police department, next week is the time to ask them, because the department is reintroducing its popular Kona with a Cop event just in time for summer.

Residents can grab shaved ice with local police officers on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Although the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the shaved ice truck will be moving around the town.

Residents can find the truck at Watnong Park from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Idlewild Pool from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Simon's Park from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Community Park Pool from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. as it moves around the borough.

"You asked if it was coming back and you better believe it is. It is our treat to the kids and Community of Morris Plains to enjoy some shaved ice with us before the hustle of shopping for Back-to-School items," the police department said.
