Little Women is Morristown High School's Best-Selling Fall Play Since 2015
The final performance of Morristown High School's Little Women is this afternoon at 2 pm, tickets are still available

Morristown High School Theatre's production of Little Women is now the school's best-selling fall play since 2015, which is as far back as the program's records go. The student-run production's final performance of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming-of-age classic is this afternoon, Sunday November 23, at 2:00 pm. Tickets are still available at MHSTIX.com and at the door.
Theatergoers attending todays final performance can also enjoy MHS Theatre’s lobby presentation, which includes themed experiences, concessions, basket raffles, and an opportunity to participate in the Theatre Program’s community outreach efforts by writing letters to soldiers at Jo’s writing desk or giving or taking a book off our little library shelf.
Those looking to extend their Little Woman experience can also stop by Beenie's Ice Cream on Morris Street to try the limited-batch flavor the March Family Favorite, a buttery cornbread ice cream with a blueberry jam swirl. Twenty percent of the sales of that flavor go to the MHS Theatre Program.

Little Women is a coming-of-age story about love, family, and the sisterly bonds of the four “little women” of the March household at a time when their father is away fighting the American Civil War. A treat for the holiday season, Little Women spans several Christmases in the lives of the March girls and their mother, who instills a spirit of independence, charity, forgiveness, and compassion in her daughters.
Morristown High School’s production of Little Women is an original adaptation by MHS’s award-nominated director, George LaVigne, with input from the students. It reaches back past the many movie, television, and musical adaptations of this timeless American classic to Louisa May Alcott’s landmark 1868 novel, getting to the heart of what has had readers and audiences returning to Little Women for more than a century and a half.

MHS Theatre's previous best-selling fall production was 2018’s Prancer. The students, faculty, and parents who have worked since early September to stage Little Women are thrilled at the support they have received and extend their deepest appreciation to everyone who made the show possible and came out to support it.
