Morris Plains Resident Named Essex County College Registrar

Renee Ojo-Ohikuar comes to the College from Montclair State University, where she was Associate Registrar.

Morris Plains resident Renee Ojo-Ohikuare is the new Essex County College Registrar of Enrollment Services. She comes to the College from Montclair State University, where she was Associate Registrar.

“Coming to Essex County College is a great opportunity for me and I’m excited to be here. I’m very impressed by the strength and knowledge of the College’s staff,” Ms. Ojo-Ohikuare said.

“Renee Ojo-Ohikuare brings a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm to this key position,” said ECC Interim President Dr. Augustine A. Boakye.

Prior to working at Montclair State, she was Assistant Registrar at William Paterson University.

“I’m very aware that communication plays a critical role in the Registrar’s Office. Sharing pertinent information with students is key to move forward,” Ms. Ojo-Ohikuare said.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from William Paterson University. She holds advanced degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Media and Professional Communications) and William Paterson University (Business Administration). She is also Chair of Education for the Morris County Branch of the NAACP.
