The Pediatric Orthopedic Center is excited to announce that on May 30th, 2024, we proudly solidified our status as the first pediatric orthopedist in Morris County to embrace the EOSedge system, marking a significant advancement in radiographic imaging and software integration.
The EOS system is known for its state-of-the-art low-dose, full-body biplanar imaging platform, and cloud-based digital spine ecosystem. The capabilities enable precise measurement of anatomical dimensions and angles, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and treatment customization. With its advanced X-ray technology, radiation dosage modulation, and accessible design, EOSedge empowers physicians to provide enhanced patient care through clear and informed diagnoses.
EOSedge substantially reduces radiation dose which minimizes the long-term impact to the patient. EOSedge Flex Dose™ technology modulates the radiation dose along the patient’s body, emitting less radiation along thinner parts of the patient and increasing along thicker parts of the patient. Additionally, there is a Micro Dose protocol that further reduces the radiation dose, delivering the equivalent amount of radiation received from living on Earth for one week.
"The EOSedge system represents a significant advancement in orthopedic imaging. Its exceptional image quality with zero magnification or need for calibration makes it an invaluable tool in our practice," said Dr. Mark Rieger, founding partner of The Pediatric Orthopedic Center.
The recent adoption of EOSedge reinforces our position as a trailblazer in medical imaging and signifies our team’s promise to provide exceptional pediatric care. At The Pediatric Orthopedic Center, we're committed to constantly improving the healthcare experience for young patients and their families. We’d like to thank everyone for your continued support as we embark on this new chapter of pediatric care!
