Real Time Election Results: Hopatcong GOP Primary

HOPATCONG, NJ — Primary Election Day is here in Hopatcong, and there is a contested race for the Republican Borough Council nominees.

Michael Francis is running unopposed for the Republican nomination for Mayor. Mara Modes is running unopposed on the Democratic side, setting up a general election race come November.

Four Republicans ran for two nominations for Borough Council. The winners are listed in bold:

• Bradley Hoferkamp 654
• Jennifer Johnson 531
• Heather Fiore 496
• William G. Hirschfeld 480

No Democrats are running for Borough Council; 43 write-in votes were cast, but its not clear for whom. Those elected for the nomination will likely win the general election, barring and write-in candidates.
