Registration Begins for Morris Plains Recreation
Get your kids signed up for the many programs Morris Plains has to offer this summer. Registration begins today, April 10

With the temperature peaking at 82 degrees in the Morris area, it's only fitting that the Morris Plains summer recreation programs were announced for 2013.
The Recreation Commission said that there are more than 35 different programs offered for the children of Morris Plains. Registration will start on Wednesday, April 10 at the Community Center. Registration forms are attached to this Patch article and are also be available at the Community Center.

Programs range from summer camp and beginning bakers to theater workshops and day trips to Dorney Park. Here are a few events and classes coming up:
- Kids Helping Kids has announced three new classes: "Lets Make Believe" for ages 3 - 5, "Obstacle Olympics" for ages 5 - 8 AND "LEGGO Builders for ages 3 - 10.
- A "Friday Night Social" has also been announced for Grades 5 -8 on April 26
- The Morris Plains Soccer Association's spring soccer program is open for registration for ages 3 and 4 and for grades K through 6. Registration can be done online at www.morrisplainssports.com. The Soccer Association is also looking for parents who wish to volunteer as a coach.
- The Morris Plains Community Park Pool will be open the weekends of June 8 and 9 and June 15 and 16 and for "the Season" on Saturday, June 22 at 12 Noon. The pool will close for the season on Monday, Labor Day, September 2 at 5 p.m.
