Road Blocked As Trees Take Down Power Line In Morris Township

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — A section of Mendham Road is blocked in Morris Township due to a downed tree falling in the roadway, according to Morris Township police.

Mendham Road is currently closed to all traffic between Washington Valley Road and Whitehead Road.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternative roadways if possible until the road is cleared off, police said.

Customers of Jersey Central Power and Light may be affected by power outages in the area, as there are currently between 21 and 100 reported outages in Morris Township, according to JCPL.
