MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Santa Claus is coming to town and will be riding atop a fire truck through Morris Township to kick off the holiday season, according to officials.
He's making a quick trip from the North Pole to Morris Township before embarking on his extensive Christmas tour around the world.
According to Morris Township officials, Santa will be visiting local neighborhoods on both Dec. 17 to Dec. 18. According to the department, all dates and times are subject to change due to emergency situations and weather conditions.

Here is the current schedule:
- 12/17: Mt Kemble, starting at 1 p.m.
- 12/17: Hillside Hose Co., Areas north of Mendham Rd., starting at 12 p.m.
- 12/18: Hillside Hose Co., Areas south of Mendham Rd., starting at 12 p.m.
- 12/18: Fairchild Fire Co.,
- ROUTE 1: 12 p.m. Alfred Vail School-125 Speedwell Avenue at 1pm. Sussex Avenue School-125 Sussex Avenue 2 p.m. Fairchild Firehouse-2 Burnham Road.
- ROUTE 2: 12 p.m. at Streeter Pool Parking Lot-2 Inamere Road. 1 p.m. at Stoney Brook Way at Mark Twain Drive Bench. 2 p.m. at Butterworth Field at Lynnfield Playground
- 12/18: Woodland Fire Co., starting at 1 p.m.
