School Police Officer Sought In Morris Plains
The Morris Plains Police Department is hiring a Class III officer who will work in the Morris Plains schools.
MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — The Morris Plains Police Department is hiring a Class III police officer to work in the Morris Plains schools.
All applicants must submit a resume, which can be delivered in person or electronically to the Morris Plains Police Department by Sept. 30, 2022, at 9:00 p.m.
The job is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and includes daily security duties at two schools as well as assistance with security planning for both buildings. The position is paid per diem for the 7.5-hour school days, with a total of 180 school days per year, at a rate of $35 per hour.

Applicants must be a retired New Jersey police officer who is under age 65 and has served as a duly qualified full-time law enforcement officer in any municipality.
Applicants must live in New Jersey and provide a letter of good standing from the police chief of the agency they retired from including dates of employment, and they cannot have a break of service of more than three years.
