Tom Coyne, Beyonce and Adele Collaborator From Morris, Has Died
The renowned master engineer won six Grammy awards.

MORRISTOWN, NJ— Tom Coyne, a master engineer who has worked with stars including Beyonce, Adele and Taylor Swift, has died from multiple myeloma. The Morris Township resident was 62 years old.
Coyne worked as an engineer for nearly 50 years, and won multiple Grammy awards. He took home two awards during the 2017 Grammy's, both for his work on Adele's 25.
"Tom Coyne was a universally respected mastering engineer and was considered one of the most influential and trusted ears in music," said Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow. "His expertise brought an important finishing touch to the works of many icons such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, the Weeknd, and many others throughout his career."

According to a Recording Academy announcement, Coyne worked with artists including Beyoncé, Kool & The Gang, Metallica, A Tribe Called Quest, R. Kelly, Digable Planets, the Roots, Wu-Tang Clan, Buddy Guy, Britney Spears, Erykah Badu, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Keith Urban.

Tom was a longtime parishioner of Assumption Church and an active member of the Fathers' Club at Seton Hall Prep to which he was especially devoted. An avid golfer, Tom was known to play any weekend there wasn't snow on the ground. He was a member of the Knoll Country Club, Parsippany. Travelling worldwide with his family or business colleagues was always an adventure for Tom that he cherished.Tom is probably best known for his wonderful sense of humor even in the face of adversity. He liked nothing more than to spend time with his family and good friends, laughing and enjoying a great meal.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary-Kay; his daughter, Briana, and son, Dillon, his mother, Margaret his sisters Nancy Coyne and Kathleen Coyne, and his brother, Timothy Coyne.
