The township has called on residents, organizations and businesses to attend with decorated vehicles.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Get ready for a Halloween thrill.
The Morris Township Police, Fire Department and Parks and Recreation are joining forces once again for their annual Trunk or Treat event, promising a spooky good time for all.
This year’s Trunk or Treat will be held on Oct. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dwyer Lane, and will be followed by a Halloween movie night at Ginty Field, where "Hotel Transylvania" will light up the screen as soon as it gets dark.

Trunk-or-treating is a fun twist on traditional trick-or-treating. Instead of going door to door, kids collect candy from vehicles decked out in festive decorations. It’s considered a safer alternative and has become increasingly popular nationwide in recent years.
To participate in candy distribution, registration is required. All registered participants must bring a bag of factory-sealed candy—homemade treats will not be permitted, according to township officials.
