Express "Unity In The Community" At Morris Township Pride Festival
Participants can expect guest speakers, live entertainment, and local vendors.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Morris Township officials are encouraging residents to show “Unity in the Community” this weekend for the township’s second annual LGBTQ+ Pride Festival.
The event is set to take place this Sunday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Gitny Field, 35 Woodland Avenue, in Morristown.
Participants can expect live entertainment with a DJ, food vendors, and several booths of local organizations and businesses. Additionally, there will be a series of inspirational speakers celebrating “diverse identities and backgrounds.”

"We are proud of delivering upon our commitment to create a safe, affirming space that amplifies local LGBTQ+ voices and stories," a Morris Township statement read.
The township’s second annual pride festival follows the success of last year, when Morris Township proclaimed the month of June as Pride Month.

The proclamation acknowledged “the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing that while progress has been made, there remains a continued need for education, advocacy, and the dismantling of discrimination and prejudice.”
