Vigil For Texas Flood Victims To Be Held At Morris Plains Funeral Home

The event will be held rain or shine in the funeral home's parking lot.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A vigil honoring those lost to the recent catastrophic Texas floods will be held in Morris Plains next week.

Dangler Funeral Home, located at 600 Speedwell Avenue in Morris Plains, will host the vigil at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15. The rain or shine vigil will be held in the funeral home’s parking lot.

The death toll from the flooding has reached nearly 119, according to Texas officials. Additionally, around 150 people are still missing.

Several of the deceased were children attending the Camp Mystic for Girls in Kerr County, where the flooding hit hardest, according to reports.
