$10K Mega Millions Ticket Sold At Morris County ShopRite

Someone who bought their Mega Millions ticket in Cedar Knolls is holding one worth $10,000. See where it was purchased.

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ — The winning streak continues. Another Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Morris County, New Jersey Lottery officials said.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the gold Mega Ball in the Tuesday, Aug. 8 drawing, winning the third-tier prize. The lucky ticket was purchased at the Greater Morristown Shoprite, located at 178 East Hanover Avenue in Cedar Knolls.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Aug. 8, drawing were: 13, 19, 20, 32, and 33. The Gold Mega Ball was 14, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

In addition to the third-tier prizes won, 240 players matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each ticket worth $500. Thirty-one of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,000. Moreover, 340,079 other New Jersey players took home $1,341,856 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.

This is the second Morris County ticket to win big in the past week. On Friday, Aug. 4, another third-tier prizewinning ticket was sold at Country Farms, located at 87 Division Ave. in Millington.

The jackpot resets to $20 million for the next drawing to be held on Friday, Aug. 11, at 11:00 p.m.
