1000+ Child Porn Images Found In Morris Co. Man's Home: Prosecutor

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested on a charge of child pornography possession, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office announced.

Jeff A. Fernandez, 25, of Boonton, was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.

Fernandez has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child for the possession of child sex abuse material, police said.

According to investigators, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent police a tip referencing an apparent upload of images of child pornography.

Based on the tip, investigators identified Fernandez as a suspect and determined that he allegedly had access to more than 1,000 items of child pornography on an electronic device, according to authorities.

Since his arrest this week, Fernandez has been released with pretrial release conditions that include monitoring and limited internet usage, police said.
