15% Increase In Visitors To Morristown National Historic Park

Were you one of the 252,514 people to visit the park?

MORRISTOWN, NJ— Morristown National Historic Park saw a 15 percent increase in attendance during its centennial year, the National Parks Service said.

252,514 people visited the park in 2016, a jump from the year before. Attendance in National Parks across the nation was up, with 331 million visitors stopping in.

“We expected more visitors in 2016 as the NPS celebrated its Centennial with special events and activities, but these numbers really show the depth of feeling people have for their national parks, especially considering that increased visitation was recorded not just at the biggest and best known parks but at smaller historical and cultural sites as well,”Acting National Park Service Director Michael T. Reynolds said.
