2 Killed In East Hanover Fire Friday: Prosecutor
Breaking: The homeowners are believed dead in a Friday night fire, officials said.
EAST HANOVER, NJ — Two people are dead after a Friday night house fire in East Hanover, officials said.
The fire broke out around 7:45 p.m. at 12 Kimble Place, East Hanover Chief Christopher F. Cannizzo said. Officers tried to get into the home but were pushed back by "heavy flames." The bodies of what officials believe are the homeowners were found once firefighters got inside, Cannizzo said.
An investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said. He did not say if the fire appears suspicious or not.
