Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested In School Zone: Morris Twp. Police

Police say the man was arrested Thursday night.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Morris Township charged one man with intent to distribute marijuana in a school zone Thursday night, police said.

Randy Mateo, from New York, was arrested around 9:40 p.m. on Normandy Heights Road Thursday night. Police say they were patrolling the neighborhood, which has been a favorite target of burglar and thieves, when they found Mateo sitting in a parked car with headlights on.

Police say the smell of raw marijuana lead to a search of the car, where they allegedly found raw marijuana packaged for sale, hashish, drug paraphernalia and pot brownies.
