Annual Pumpkin Illumination Event Returns To Morristown
The family fun festival featuring art demonstrations, live music and illuminated pumpkins returns this week. Here's what to know:

MORRISTOWN, NJ — October is here, and pumpkins are taking center stage! Next week, the annual Pumpkin Illumination returns to the Vail Mansion for the 15th year, ready to kick off this year's spooky season in style.
Presented by Morris County Arts, the event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 on the lawn of the Vail Mansion, 10 South Street. According to event organizers, guests are encouraged to bring their carved pumpkins to light at dusk.
Just like in years past, the event is free and open to the public.

Admission includes live music, a luminary parade, a scarecrow decorating workshop, live storytelling and an illuminated pumpkin display, according to the event website.

- 5:00 p.m. – The Sleepy Hollow Halloween Story by Kit’s Interactive Theatre
- 6:00 p.m. – Scarecrow Decorating Workshop led by Dan Fenelon
- 6:30 p.m. – Luminary Parade
- 6:45 p.m. – Illuminating Pumpkin Display – bring your carved jack-o-lantern and they’ll provide the lights.
The Sleepy Hollow Halloween Show, presented by Kit's Interactive Theatre, brings the characters from Washington Irving's classic tale to life in a captivating new drama. Designed to be eerie (but not frightening), the show combines storytelling, music, dance, audience interaction, and plenty of fun, according to the organizers.
Officials noted that live music will be provided by The Alex De Lazzari Quartet.
The rain date for the event is Oct. 27.
