Athleta's Morristown Store To Close: Final Day Revealed

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Although 2025 has just begun, two Morristown businesses have already said goodbye: Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen closed in early January, and now another business is preparing to depart.

Athleta, the clothing and apparel store known for its location at 30 West Park Place, announced last week that it will close its doors to the community later this month.

The store notified the community with a posted announcement on its doors, detailing the upcoming closure.

"Goodbyes are never easy. We’re closing this location, but you can still find us at: athleta.com," the notice read.

According to a store employee, the last day to shop in-store will be Jan. 23. The nearest Athleta locations are in Denville at 3056 NJ-10, Spc 25 & 26, and in Chester at 290 US-206.

Athleta is known for its versatile, premium performance apparel designed by women for women, with a mission to inspire a community of active, confident women and girls. Customers can find clothing for a wide range of activities, from studio sports like yoga and spinning to outdoor pursuits like running and cycling, as well as seasonal sports like swimming.

Since 1998, Athleta has been serving women and is part of the GAP family of brands which also includes Gap, Gap Kids, BabyGap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.
