Back To School: Morristown, Morris Plains 2023-24 School Calendars
Parents in Morristown can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Morristown and Morris Plains, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Morris School District and the Morris Plains School District.
The first day of school for the majority of Morristown students is Sept. 5. Students in Morris Plains, on the other hand, get one more day of summer beginning Sept. 6.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

- First Day: Sept. 5
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23-24
- Winter Break: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1
- Spring Break: April 1 through April 5
- Last Day: June 18
