Bike Share Introduced At Loantaka Brook Reservation

No need to bring your own bike-- you can rent one when you get there now.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Looking to bike through Loantaka Brook Reservation? You won't have to go through the hassle of bringing your own anymore. A pilot bike share program has set up shop within the park.

Fifteen bikes will be located at three docking stations: South Street, Kitchell Road, and Loantaka Way. You can rent a bike through the Zagster mobile app. Pay as you go costs $1 per every half hour, with a maximum charge or $48 a ride. A portion of the fee will be returned to the park alliance for maintenance.

The program is sponsored by the Morris Park Alliance in partnership with Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center, the Community Foundation of New Jersey, and Delta Dental.

This is the third bike share set up by Zagster in the county. The other two are in East Hanover and Denville.
