Since 1985, David Clark has toured across the country, impersonating the multi-Grammy Award-winning pianist alongside a band of talented musicians.

“The All About Joel Show has been touring the country, captivating audiences,” Red Sky Presents partner Micky Hyman said. “The unique thing about David is that he really brings the music and energy of Billy Joel to life, in a way that has really connected to audiences. The show itself is not just a tribute, but it’s really a celebration of the Piano Man’s sound.”

In 2014, Clark performed as the lead singer and piano player at the Long Island Music Hall of Fame induction of the Lords of 52nd Street, the band that played alongside Billy Joel for decades. He stayed on as their lead vocalist and pianist until 2020.

Concert goers should expect to hear classic Joel hits like “You May Be Right,” “Vienna,” “Movin’ Out,” and more.

Ticket prices start at $47 and can be purchased online here.

Red Sky Presents

David Clark’s All About Joel show is just the first of several performances Red Sky Presents has planned for the Dolan Theater, organizers said.

According to Hyman, these performances are part of a much broader program.

Since last year, Red Sky Presents has been working with St. Elizabeth University students, recruiting interns to show them the ins and outs of the entertainment and marketing industries.

“The sort of unique thing about this program, we think, is that it gives the SEU students an opportunity to have hands-on experience and work in the entertainment business,” Hyman told Patch. “What we want to bring to Morristown is an all-access pass to the business world of entertainment, in addition to the entertainment itself.”

The Joel Tribute is serving as a kick-off to a larger cabaret program at SEU. Residents should expect a series of shows, including some original productions, at the Dolan Theater over the coming months.

Hyman added that Red Sky Presents will also be hosting seminars and lectures for those interested in the entertainment industry. Speakers will include choreographers, light designers, performers, and other professionals whose roles are vital to an entertainment production.

Hyman intends these programs to teach, engage, and inspire members of the Morristown entertainment community, while also giving them “a heck of a good show.”
