Candidates Vie For Morristown Council Seats: See Who’s On The Ballot This November

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Another primary election has come and gone, and the unofficial results are in. Here’s who Morristown voters will see on their ballots come November:

Six candidates are vying for three spots on Morristown’s council – three democrats and three republicans.

On the democratic ticket will be incumbents David Silva, who tallied 1,416 votes, Toshiba Foster, with 1,447 votes, and Nathan Umbriac, with 1,335 votes.

On the republican ticket will be three newcomers Andrew Delaney, who tallied 447 votes, Celeste Kaitsa, with 377 votes, and Aaron Oliver, with 391 votes.

Incumbent Mayor Tim Dougherty ran uncontested in the primary, clinching the democratic nomination for his reelection bid. No petitions have been filed for the republican ticket come November, however, there were 81 write-ins for the nomination.

New Jersey’s General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Results are unofficial until ratified by the Morris County Clerk's Office.
