Cash 5 Jackpot Winner Bought Ticket in Morristown

The winner will split $71,256

Two lucky people had winning Jersey Cash 5 tickets for the July 19 drawing. Jersey Cash 5 announced Monday that the two ticket winners will split a $71,256—$35,628 each.

One ticket was sold in Morris County and the other in Union County. The Morris County winning ticket was bought at the Convent Gas & Repairs in Morristown, and the Union County ticket from the Quick Food Store, 1472 E. Front St., Plainfield.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at the Convent Gas & Repairs and Quick Food Store,” said Jersey Cash 5 Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling these tickets, each retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Hedinger said the two winning tickets were the only ones sold for Friday’s drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were: 11, 14, 20, 24 and 30. However, 2,696 other players won $62,384 in cash prizes in Friday’s drawing.

For correctly picking four numbers, 82 players won cash prizes of $442 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 2,614 players won $10 each.
