Concerts, Skits, And 80+ More Performances Coming To Morristown In Beloved NYE Event
For one night only, all of Morristown will "become a stage."
MORRISTOWN, NJ — More than 80 performances across 18 local venues will be held on New Year's Eve in Morristown in the return of a beloved annual event.
First Night Morris, originally established in 1992, showcases local talent in an “alcohol-free and substance-free celebration of arts and culture.”
The event features all kinds of entertainment mediums, including musical performances, skits, stand-up comedy, art shows, presentations, film screenings, hands-on projects for kids and adults, and much, much more.

Venues include the Mayo Performing Arts Center, the Morristown High School Gym, and the Morris Administration Building, to name a few. A shuttle will be available for participants to get from venue to venue.
“First Night offers the opportunity to bring the community together,” said First Night President Craig Schlosser. “So let's do it, and together we’re going to start off 2026 on the right step.”

The first programs begin at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, with each program falling under one of seven categories: Children’s Programs, Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Arts, History, and Living History.

First Night Morris County is organized by First Night, a nonprofit that showcases local talent all across the state. According to organizers, its Morris County event is the largest of its kind, attracting more than 10,000 guests each year.
The nonprofit’s mission is to “foster the public’s appreciation of visual and performing arts through an innovative, diverse, and high-quality New Year’s Eve program which offers the community a shared cultural experience that is accessible and affordable to all.”
