Construction Begins On New NY Red Bulls Facility In Morristown Area
The Red Bulls said they will continue using their existing training ground in Hanover until the new, $112 million complex is built.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Construction has begun on the New York Red Bulls' new soccer complex and training grounds, expected to open in Morris Township by the end of next year.
The Major League Soccer team is developing an 80-acre parcel of land at 101 Columbia Turnpike, at the former Honeywell Inc. property. They announced that construction had begun on Tuesday.
The Red Bulls (RBNY) said this state-of-the-art training complex is privately-funded, with the facility scheduled to open its doors in fall 2025. The planters will continue using the existing training ground in East Hanover until the new one opens, they said.

The Morris Township Planning Board approved the final site plan for the athletic facility in December of 2022, after more than a year of public meetings and revisions. Nearby residents had expressed concerns about lighting and noise from the fields at night.
The plans for the $112 million complex include eight full-size soccer fields, several training areas, and a main building containing locker rooms, a gym, a dining hall, academic spaces, physiotherapy areas, and staff offices.

Along with the Major League Soccer-tier first team, the club said that the second-tier Red Bulls II will use the complex when it is finished — so, too, will the New York Red Bulls Academy and Youth Training programs, which work to develop the next generation of professional soccer players. The RBNY sporting department will also be headquartered here.
The club's Head of Sport Jochen Schneider said the team was excited for construction to begin, adding that building the new facility is part of RBNY's mission "to provide our players, both professional and our academy, the best place for them to work, train and improve."
The organization's president Marc de Grandpré said that this will be "the premier training complex" in MLS, and said that the significant investment was necessary for the future.
“Our vision is for this facility to be a source of pride for our entire organization, our fans, partners and the Morris Township community for many years to come," he said.
The Red Bulls have based training operations in Hanover since 2013. The club's first team (competing in Major League Soccer) will continue to play their home games at Harrison's Red Bull Arena.
The new complex will be built by March Construction, and Gensler served as the lead architectural designer.
