Cory Road Repairs Set to Begin on Halloween

Work expected to continue through November.

Following nearly two months of re-rerouted traffic patterns, repair to a section of Cory Road closed off due to a sinkhole is expected to begin on Halloween.

Town Council introduced an ordinance Tuesday that would appropriate $400,000 for the repairs, which also include repairs to a section of Patriots Path that was damaged there on Sept. 6 .

Since then, traffic has been allowed one-way, alternating east to west, west to east depending on the time of day. Business Administrator Michael Rogers said one-way traffic flow would continue during peak hours, but drivers should expect the road to be completely closed off to traffic during daytime hours.
