Course, Road Closures Announced For 5K In Morristown Thursday
Teams from various businesses will run through town on Thursday evening during the annual Verizon Corporate Classic 5K.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Thousands of runners will hit the streets in Morristown on Thursday, as part of a team 5K which raises money for a local nonprofit that serves those affected by domestic abuse.
The annual Verizon Corporate Classic starts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, with the course beginning and ending at Morristown High School this year.
More than 70 teams (and some individuals) are registered for this road race, which benefits Morris County-based JBWS. This organization provides support and services to victims of abuse, such as domestic violence and partner violence, as well as their family members.

The Corporate Classic also provides a way for employees and leaders of local businesses to build camaraderie and work together, organizers said — there will be prizes for the highest-scoring teams. The top three overall men and top three overall women finishers will receive awards, too.
The 5K route runs along Early Street, Mills Street, and Sussex Street (as well as some side streets), with teams staging along Atno Avenue. Here is the list of streets on the course:
