Document-Shredding Event Scheduled This Spring In Morristown
Do you have some confidential papers you'd like to get rid of? Mark your calendars for the town's next shred event.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — If you find some old papers you'd like to get rid of while doing spring cleaning this year, the town of Morristown has a document-shredding event coming up in May.
This allows residents to destroy confidential documents safely and securely. The shred event will take place Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Town Hall parking lot off of Franklin Street. It will end early if the shredding truck reaches full capacity.
Residents may bring documents in either paper bags or cardboard boxes weighing no more than 10 pounds. Shredding is limited to confidential and sensitive materials only — no binders or magazines.

The cost is $6 per bag or box, with proceeds used for the Morristown High School Kiwanis Scholarship Fund and other charitable organizations.
Cipshred of Morristown will provide shredding services, and the event is co-sponsored by Morristown Clean Communities Program and the Kiwanis Club of Morristown.
