Downed Wires Impacting Morris County Traffic Thursday
Gusty winds caused trees and power lines to fall around the county overnight, and have temporarily closed an exit off of NJ-24.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Gusty winds have knocked down trees and power lines around Morris County, creating some traffic headaches Thursday morning.
Passaic Avenue is impassible in Florham Park at the border with Essex County, police said. Traffic is being directed to Main Street in Chatham Borough.
Crews are still working to make the road safe near the intersection of NJ 24 and Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park, as of 8:45 a.m. Thursday. Ramps from Route 24 onto CR 510/Columbia Turnpike are closed, according to 511nj.org and local police.

The road is "impassable" near the compactor and environmental center, said police.
"JCP&L is on scene but the damage is great and will take time," Florham Park officers added.

There are about 887 people without power in the borough as of 9 a.m., according to JCP&L. In total, about 3,640 customers don't have power as the work day begins.
Downed trees are also causing closures in Washington Township, where parts of North Four Bridges Road and Mount Lebanon Road are closed.
An earlier incident in Denville on Route 46 has been cleared, according to News 12.
